18 November Winter Wonderland Market

Sugar and Spice flea ended a very successful 2017, with a Winter Wonderland market at The Grange Pub, Ealing.

The largest market to date at The Grange, with stalls spreading out under the covered garden area of the pub on what proved to be the wettest, coldest and dreariest weather so far this year!  It really was a very dismal weather day, but regular shoppers supported the market and we had lots of new visitors too who braved the weather conditions.

We welcomed new traders: local baker Philippa of Let Me Eat Cake Bakery, with her range of food gifts and delicious homemade gingerbread men and freelance artist Sophia, www.sophiasillustration.co.uk.  Sophia creates bespoke artworks of customers homes and also sells prints of illustrated maps, greetings cards and more.

The Summer House was all lit up and positively glowing courtesy of Albert and Edward, upcylced lighting.  These ingenious lights are proving very popular at Sugar and Spice, often created with nostalgic materials and will be returning to the markets next year.

Delicious sweet treats were provided by Handmade in Ealing and the Midnight Bakery.

As always, the Winter Wonderland market had a great atmosphere, with regular traders who have supported the market, some since the very start.

Markets start again next year, kicking off on Saturday 3rd  February at St Matthew's Church, Ealing Common, 11-4pm, complete with a vintage tea room and freshly brewed coffee.

A big "thank you" to shoppers and traders alike for all your support, and here's to a busy and successful 2018.
