First Flea of 2017 - 25th February

WOW! An amazing and successful first flea for 2017!

A big "thank you" to all the fantastic stall holders who all helped to make the February flea market such a success and to Barbara, the very supportive and enthusiastic landlady of our market venue -
The Grange Pub, Ealing.

The day got off to a good start.  I was out and about early doing a last bit of flyering and listening to the Jo Good and Simon Lederman morning show on BBC Radio London. They mentioned the 9.15 am billboard slot and were asking listeners to call in to promote local markets, events etc.  It was too good an opportunity to let pass and before I knew it I was chatting to Jo and Simon about the market. A great bit of free advertising to a massive audience.  Quite nerve racking though as a first time caller!

The February market saw the welcome addition of lots of new, talented craft stalls.  In particular I loved the knitted Easter egg holders made by Sue Kitt of Wildlife Wonders (https://www.facebook.com/SueKittPhotography) and the very cute animals cleverly knitted by Jennie MacLeod (http://ambothan.blogspot.co.uk).

We were also joined by Lucy Savage, Ealing's very own chocolatier (https://www.facebook.com/EalingChocs) and regular Sugar and Spice trader Denise of Denalis Jewellery.

My daughter enjoyed her first ever tarot reading thanks to Eva (http://www.sorceress.co) who was taking tarot readings in the potting shed!

We had visitors young and old and lots of cute dogs too!

The next flea market will be held on 29th April at The Grange Pub, 12-5pm.  All stall enquiries please email: sugarandspicefleamarket@gmail.com.
